Intro

The land development approach did not employ the bulldozer and tree clearing devices that subdivisions used during this period. This respect for the land has sustained the majestic first growth trees. Equal attention was given to welcoming a population of people who understood and respected human rights and social justice. This framework has allowed Reston to grow and become a model of a quality place to live that will also offer a model as the proper attention is given to the Reinvestment needs and opportunities.
