Susan Kane and her family orchestrated a surprise party to celebrate Patrick Kane’s 70th birthday. Over 130 attended the party which was held in Farther Findley Hall at St. Thomas a Becket Church. Hunter Mill Supervisor Catherine Hudgins presented a certificate from the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors recognizing his actions as an active, dedicated resident of the Reston community, lending his expertise as a professional planner to multiple projects within the Hunter Mill District on the occasion of his birthday. Tracy White, president of the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce, presented a plaque recognizing his contributions to the growth of the Chamber. Guests included original employees of KRS Associates, the planning firm Kane formed in Reston in 1967, Bob Simon, Reston’s founder, state delegate Ken Plum, as well as many other friends.
