The open parking lot at Tall Oaks center is separating the people who live and work there from services offered by the center. Passage through the parking lot can be dangerous and uninteresting. A pedestrian network would be appropriate to accommodate connectivity in this urbane area.
A visit to the farmer’s market at Lake Anne prohibited movement into the restaurant area because the vendors along a potential corridor extended their presence into the needed passage width. This is particularly a problem for someone with visual disabilities and a quad-cane that snagged exhibit material.
